Doris Ariole, fondly called FirstLady Doris (FLD), is an award-winning filmmaker and creativity coach renowned for her profound impact on faith-based entertainment. Specialising in directing faith-based films, Doris has written, produced, and directed five faith-based movies, affirming her expertise and dedication to this niche. 

In 2021, Doris broke new ground by launching HCEN TV, Africa’s first Christian streaming app, designed to showcase faith-based content. Now rebranded as HADASSAH TV, the platform is set to relaunch in 2025, offering global audiences diverse and high-quality inspirational content. 

A prolific writer, Doris has penned over 120 screenplays since 2006, with more than 80 brought to life as films. Her storytelling prowess has earned her the title “The Storyteller,” along with numerous nominations and awards on both local and international stages. Her films are widely accessible on leading platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Iroko, Ibaka, YouTube, and Africa Magic. 

As the founder of Storytellers Creative Agency, Doris serves as a Faith and Creativity Coach, equipping Christian creatives with the knowledge and inspiration to achieve their creative purpose through faith-based principles. Her signature programs, ‘Story is King’ and ‘The Actor and the Story’, have empowered hundreds of writers and actors to excel in their craft. Notably, her alumni have written over 200 screenplays since 2020, contributing significantly to the Nollywood entertainment industry. 

Doris’s journey in the creative arts was profoundly shaped by her mentor, the late Amaka Igwe, who trained her in writing, producing, directing, production design, and acting. Her relentless pursuit of excellence led her to further studies at the prestigious Delyork Creative Academy (specialising in directing, cinematography, acting, and screenwriting) and advanced training under renowned story expert Robert McKee in London and New York. 

Through her production company, Hadassah Studios, Doris is committed to creating family-friendly, globally competitive inspirational content. With five titles to its credit, the studio embodies her vision of storytelling that transforms and uplifts audiences.
